Bulldog Student Guides are energetic and enthusiastic students who have successfully completed Bulldog Bounce Back or Bulldog Rebound and strive to help other students on campus persevere in their academic careers.
They speak to FYE and LSK classes about the academic strategies they have learned as well as table on the Drill Field and in the Union about their individual experiences of overcoming challenges and finding new opportunities to complete their degrees at Mississippi State University. Their purpose is to offer study strategies, academic skills, and personal advice to the general student population who may benefit from the experiences of former participants. Our Bulldog Student Guides have incredible individual stories to share that are compelling and benefit students in their own academic journeys.
Interested in becoming a Student Guide for Bulldog Continued Enrollment in the upcoming 2025/2026 academic year? Requirements for acceptance into the Student Guide program include the following:
- An eagerness to want to help other students find academic success,
- Received a B in either Bulldog Bounce Back or Bulldog Rebound program,
- A letter attached explaining why you want to be a student guide,
- A recommendation letter from either another faculty member on campus, a member of the CASPASS team, or your academic advisor.
- A program participation semester GPA of a 2.30 or above (note: this is not the cumulative GPA).
Applications for Fall 2025 are now available. For consideration in the spring cohort of Bulldog Student Guides, all applications must be emailed to the Director of Continued Enrollment by August 15, 2025.
