Bulldog Rebound Student Guides are energetic and enthusiastic students who have successfully completed Bulldog Rebound and strive to help other students on campus find academic success.
They speak to FYE and LSK classes about the success strategies they have learned as well as table on the Drill Field and in the Union about their individual experiences of overcoming challenges and finding new opportunities to be successful at Mississippi State University. Their purpose is to offer study strategies, academic skills, and personal advice to the general student population who may benefit from the experiences of former Bulldog Rebound participants. Our Bulldog Rebound Student Guides have incredible individual stories to share that are compelling and could only benefit students in their own academic journeys.
Interested in becoming a Student Guide for Bulldog Rebound in the upcoming 2024/2025 academic year? Requirements for acceptance into the Student Guide program include the following:
- An eagerness to want to help other students find academic success,
- Received an A in the Bulldog Rebound program,
- A letter attached explaining why you want to be a student guide,
- A recommendation letter from either another faculty member on campus, a member of the CASPASS team, or your academic advisor.
- A participation semester GPA of a 2.50 or above (note: this is not the cumulative GPA).
- Maintaining a 2.50 semester GPA per semester as a student guide.
